There was a time not long ago when a fwd 4cyl coupe was as fast as a Mustang Cobra.
And it looked better too.

Rephrased:
There was a time when a Mustang Cobra was so slow that a 4-cyl FWD coupe could outrun it.

Are you praising the Daytona or dissing the Mustang?

I men don’t forget faster than a same model year M5 if we’re talking the turbo 3 last gen’s. 2.2 Turbo 3's aint nothing to fuck with. Hell the turbo 2 and 1 weren’t too bad either!

I mean.... those were legitimately quick cars. No need to discount them because ford couldn’t make v8 faster.

I’m a little disappointed my dad didn’t let me buy one in high school, and now they’re much harder to find in that kind of shape and more expensive. Oh well, I’m probably not missing that much these days. It sure would have been cool back then though, I could have had 2 14 second cars. And since I would have been DD-ing the Daytona, maybe the 4-banger turbo bug would have caught instead of the RWD NA V8 bug. Whew, dodged a bullet on that one, thanks Dad!
